Cleota here. Or Hi C, as someone affectionately likes to call me. I can't wait to get your started on this month's inspirational challenge, because it is just...what's the word...awesome!! I've decided to do something a little different this month and I hope you have as much fun as we did creating your projects.
This month's theme is...drumroll please...
anything *BUT* a card
I know. I know. Some of you are cringing at the thought. "All I do is cards." This challenge is designed to get you out of your comfort zone and thinking outside the fold...ahem, I mean dugout. Okay, outside the box!! The Design Team took the challenge and man, oh man, they really out did themselves! Let them be your swinging coach to hit one out of the park yourself!
Starting the lineup, we have our fearless Owner and Artist, Boni. She was the cataylst to my deviant plan of getting us outside of the card fold. She created a cool cover for her Nook and I must say it is fabulous!
Next up on the batter's list is Hetty. Hetty used the Cole Miner image and a cool tin to create a small tool box. I love those little springs popping out from under the sentiment.
Lynn used every women's man during Sunday night football, Armchair Arnie, and created a deliciously colorful candy jar. I wanna know if those M&Ms are real or embellishments?!
Penalty Pat apparently is calling the shots for this awesome candy box that Theresa created.
Ginny also used Armchair Arnie for her beer bottle wrapper. Don't know about you, but a cold one always tastes better when your hands don't get cold!
Nancy came up to bat, swung for the bleachers and hit the ball out of the park!! Using Ahoy Matey Matt she created a total gift set.
Ruth took the inspirational challenge a step further and used a bunch of the heads of images (Jose Hosed, Mo, Henry Hero, and KO Kurt) to create the perfect way to keep the kids from biting the erasers off pencils!!
Football Phil makes this award ribbon Tammy created even more special. Who wouldn't want the GOLD!?!
These giant note clips I've created with some of the "Get a Head" characters will come in handy in a pinch hitting situation.
Penalty Pat is calling party fouls with Fink's skewer. While Hank Holla is hollering for his next beer!
Anne's guitar pick case is outta sight with her awesome guitar image and musical note paper.
Pinch hitting during January is our Guest Designer, Chris. She's created a lovely Valentine's Day candy box using Ride Like the Wind Rocky, Putt Putt Hearts, and a fabulous Iris fold heart.
Wow!! Dude Time Doodles Dudettes win by a landslide!!
You will definitely want to run the bases and visit every design team member's blog today. There are several tutorials on how these ladies created such awesome, one of a kind, out of the fold items.
Now the rules of the game:
THE RULES
1. Use the creations above to get your mojo moving. Remember, anything BUT a card.
2. You are not required to use BDD images although it would make us really really happy and giggle a lot if you did!
3. MUST be a masculine themed card, you can use humor, innuendo, be a little naughty, sarcastic, but it has got to be for a DUDE!
4. Be sure to use the InLinkz below to submit your creation.
You have one week to link up your projects. We will post the TOP THREE WINNERS and the TOP BLOG WINNER right here on January 25th at 12 PM CST.
Thank you!
