While at a crafting class I saw a really cute Slider Card on display....
so I took out my handy tape measure and starting measuring. Here are my notes. Don't laugh.
First things first. Cut 2 pieces of cardstock (the first time it helps to make these two different colors so you can see the sequence of putting this together).
Cut 2 pieces of cardstock 4.25 x 5.5
Cut 1 piece of cardstock 3 x 4.75 (my post it says 4.25 that is WRONG) LOL
2. Next you are going to want to cut in 3/4 of an inch on three sides (2long sides and one short side)
3. Your cardstock should look like this:
4. You are then going to score your cardstock at 1.25", 3", and 4.75"
5. Line up your larger pieces of cardstock (the two 4.25x5.5 pieces) and with your circle punch, punch about halfway down and in the middle of both pieces of cardstock. This will be the notch needed later on to be able to slide your card.
6. Adhere the smallest score section to the bottom of the 3x4.75 piece of cardstock. It should look like this from the side.
7. When lying flat you will see the fold and where you should adhere the short score to the end of the 3x4.75 piece of stock.
8. Use your glue runner on three sides of your 4.25x5.5 cardstock that has not been cut or scored.
9. Line up the scored piece evenly with the glued piece making sure that your 3x4.75 piece is on the inside, between the two larger pieces of cardstock (see below)
10. To finish staple a ribbon to the center of the 3x4.75 piece to be able to pull your slider.
